DLR Recycled Christmas Tree Decoration

Many talented pupils entered this year’s DLR Recycled Christmas Tree Decoration Competition. The decoration had to be something that could hang from a Christmas tree and had be made entirely from recycled materials.

The panel of judges in our school had the difficult task of selecting just one winner from the many beautiful and imaginative entries this year. Well done to all and a particular congratulations to Kate Rainsford whose ‘bell’ was the winning entry. Kate will be awarded with a prize and her decoration will be displayed in Dun Laoghaire Town Hall.

The Sam Maguire Pays a Visit!

There was great excitement on Friday, December 9th when we heard that the Sam Maguire Cup would be brought to our school by some of the players from the Dublin team. The whole school packed into the hall and we wore our Cuala jerseys to support the players. The Leinster squad and the hurling team also brought along their recently acquired silverware for us to see. The 5th and 6th girls from our school who won their GAA tournament got to pose with the players and the special trophies!
