When we got to Glenroe Farm a lady showed us around. We met Molly the horse and Homer the goat! We also got to pet the sheep, the cows, the deer and the pigs. We couldn’t believe how hairy the pigs were! When we were in the barn we saw a swallows nest. We learned that the swallows live in the barn during spring and summer, but that they fly to another warmer country for winter!

After we saw all the farm animals we went to pets corner. We met Pepsi the rabbit, and we got to hold a guinea pig and a gerbil! Some people were brave enough to let the gerbil sit on their head!

After pets corner we had our lunch! Then we went on a nature walk and we visited a fairy garden. Before we got the bus back to Dalkey we played in the playground! 

We had a great day at Glenroe farm!
